At the nursery there are teachers who are qualified to facilitate your child’s development towards the Early Years Foundation Stage through the media of Themes, Information Technology, Creative Activities, Physical Activities etc…

Although each area has been set up to emulate a classroom environment, the approach although structured is still informal and the children are encouraged to develop their skills through experimental learning.
Their achievements are plotted on a learning journey and transfer to school records. Their educational developments are recorded in portfolios which can be viewed by parents and taken away when the child leaves the nursery. They may then be shown to their reception teacher thus encouraging continuity between the two establishments.
