Through the launch of the new Foundation Stage in Early Years, the decision for themes do not come from staff. Through the observation of children they present us with their own interests, which we structure a focused topic per-half term.
Within this topic we encourge that all get involved, children, staff and most importantly parents. As we all come from diverse backgrounds, you may have ideas, as well as knowledge about the interests that your child has at home. We find this way of planning the most effective way as it meets your childs developmental stage, whilst also allowing you to be involved in your childs interests and help to build the new skills they are learning at nursery. |
